The Dominguez Firm congratulates Nayani Manor on being selected as the recipient of the Spring 2024 Collegiate Scholarship. She was chosen for her outstanding achievements and proactive efforts to enhance the lives of children through education—a mission that perfectly aligns with the philosophy of our Founder and CEO, J.J. Dominguez. Nayani not only excelled academically but also dedicated herself to making education accessible and engaging in schools where academically struggling children are often overlooked.
Nayani’s application stood out to us immediately. Her commitment to addressing educational disparities in her North Las Vegas community impressed us. Seeing students falter and lose interest in learning motivated her to take action. Working closely with educators, she identified crucial areas requiring additional support, leading to the creation of after-school tutoring programs. Nayani’s one-on-one sessions helped students gain confidence, sparked their curiosity, and instilled the belief that they could aspire to achieve their goals. She accomplished all of this before even becoming an educator.
Expressing her gratitude upon being selected, Nayani stated, “I am so grateful for the support of the Dominguez Firm and their commitment to help support the lives of future youth. This scholarship will help further my dream of being an advocate of change for my community through being an Elementary educator. Overall I feel blessed to be able to contribute and continue my pursuit of excellence,” Nayani is currently majoring in elementary education at Miles College in Alabama, exemplifying her vision for a more equitable educational landscape and a brighter future for students in her community.
